The refuge was built in 1887 and named after the famous painter Franz von Defregger. From the hut you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of over 30 three-thousandmeter peaks. Open: End of June till middle/end of September (depending on the weather) Winter: On request for ski tourer. Please make a reservation for your overnight stay and your tour to the Großvenediger!
